Happy Hanksgiving, Part Five

Crowley's Hank
At 60 pounds, our Hank has become a stately old gentleman but still doesn’t mind when we play dress-up.

Five years ago this month, Cassie Hahn, our Crowley technical support administrator, introduced us to her English bulldog, Hank. At just eight weeks old, this ball of walking wrinkles could barely hold up his head or keep his eyes open and became the impetus for our very first “Hanksgiving” blog post. Today, Hank – via the wonder of digital photography (because he’s just too darn big to drag into the office) – is still the Crowley Thanksgiving emblem, giving ol’ Tom Turkey a run for his money.

As always, we’re (t)hankful for the many Crowley clients and prospects that allow us to do what we love: help organizations and individuals digitize, access, share and save their histories. Every day we have the privilege to work with libraries, universities, government agencies, historical societies, corporations, genealogical societies, archives, banks, insurance companies and many others that each have a story to tell and records to document.

We’re also (t)hankful for our employees. For the R&D and manufacturing staff in California and the UK. For those that keep the organization flowing in all three locations. For those who spread the word about Crowley’s scanners and imaging services. For the technicians who travel the world to install and maintain equipment. For those who spend each day in Maryland and on-site digitizing everything from fashion photos to the personal writings of Presidents to the engineering drawings of a city’s waterworks.

Many of these staff members have shared their talents with Crowley for decades. In fact, this December we’ll honor 15 employees who are celebrating “5th year” anniversaries that total to 280 years with our 37-year-old company. This type of celebration is a testament to the staying power of our clients, our people and our industry.

It’s never a dull day at The Crowley Company no matter the client, the department, the location or the project. We thank you for making each year possible. Happy Hanksgiving!
