Crowley to Introduce Image Hosting Platform, Demo 3D Viewer and Participate in ILL Discussion Group at ALA

Frederick, Md. and San Francisco, Ca.  – The Crowley Company is bringing its most popular library scanners to this week’s 2015 ALA Annual Conference, along with a brand new image hosting system and Zeutschel’s 3D book viewer. Touch What You’re Not Supposed to Touch

Zeutschel’s Interactive 3D Book Explorer is sure to be an attendee draw by offering the virtual opportunity to turn the pages of rare book which would otherwise be preserved under glass. With a simple wave of the hand, a page turns, giving viewers a literal look inside the tome. Developed by Fraunhofer HHI, the system consists of an easy-to-use 3D book generator software, a 3D presentation software and a touchless interactive interface. The 3D Book Explorer is an application for archives, library collections, museums and also for current publications, such as product catalogs, which would allow users to examine a product from all angles.

McCabe, Letailleur to Present in ILL Discussion Group

Matthew McCabe, Crowley vice president of sales and marketing, and Patrice Letailleur, regional sales manager of Zeutschel GmbH, will be the lead-off speakers in a special session, ILL (Inter Loan Library) Discussion Group.
