Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I know if my system is eligible for an upgrade?

Our team can perform an assessment to determine if your current equipment is compatible with available upgrades. In most cases, even older systems can benefit from enhancements.

Why upgrade instead of replace?

Upgrading allows you to improve your equipment without the high costs of purchasing new systems. It can extend the life of your current setup and provide a faster return on investment.

What is the average cost of an upgrade?

Costs vary depending on the type of upgrade (hardware vs. software), but upgrading is generally more cost-effective than purchasing new equipment.

How long will the upgrade process take?

Most basic software upgrades can be completed within a short period of time, while more complex hardware overhauls may take longer.

I have a Software Maintenance Contract. Do I still have to pay for a software upgrade?

A software maintenance contract provides bug fixes and access to all software revisions within the current version series (e.g., 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, etc.). If a new major version (e.g., 2.0) is released while your contract is active, you’ll receive a discount on the upgrade. The new version is then covered under your contract until its original renewal date, giving you access to all updates within that version. Additionally, the contract includes remote assistance providing phone and web support for any software-related questions or issues you encounter.

I have a Preventative Maintenance Contract (PMC). Does this cover any of the upgrade expenses?

A preventative maintenance contract will not cover the cost of the software or any physical hardware required for an upgrade, but it will cover telephone and web support for installation. Depending on your current level of contract, it may also allow for reduced on-site installation fees. Please let your sales representative know if you are under a Preventative Maintenance Contract so that they may quote you accordingly.
